Although you are free to choose a CV format there are a few CV writing guidelines to follow:
1. Promote your key
skills on the first page of your CV. Use key
words and action verbs to promote
your benefits.
2. Choose a CV structure that
is acceptable to employers including listing each of your previous
roles in chronological order.
3. Include your qualifications
in your CV and list your technical and managerial courses
that you have attended.
4. Sell yourself by promoting your achievements
under each role. Choose action
words that sell the value that you have added to the company.
5. Exclude your hobbies and your
references from your CV. Employers
can ask you about this at the appropriate time.
